Program Structure
There are two tracks you may embark on depending on your year of study. Please apply accordingly as the topics were carefully curated to suit you at their present level! The structure for both tracks is largely the same and differs only on topics offered and selection process.

As promised, the workshop features a blend of theory and practice to help you maximise your learning. You will attend lectures before deciding the topic you wish to do your projects in. After you have selected your projects, you will be given time to brainstorm and will have ample time to consult your respective professors who will guide you through the project.

On final day, you will showcase the fruits of your hard work by presenting your projects to the professors and all the other workshop participants. To celebrate your efforts, there will be a farewell dinner.

The Year 1 program commences from 14 July to 5 August while the Year 2 and above program starts 4 July to 26 July. You may refer to the schedules below for an idea of what is to come!
Year 1
Students will arrive on 14 July 2019 to check-in.

Students will attend lectures for all 3 topics (each for two half-days of lecture). Each student will then rank his/her preferences of the topics to do a project.

On 26 July, students will check-out of student dormitory at UTown early morning for all and move to outside campus accommodation.

Year 2 and Above
Students will arrive on 3rd or 4th July 2019 to check-in.

Students will select and be assigned 1 out of 3 clusters during application.

They will attend 3 lectures covering the topics in the assigned cluster (two half-day of lecture per topic). For clusters with 4 topics, students will only attend lectures for 3 topics as there are concurrent lectures. Each student will rank his/her preferences of the topics in the cluster to do a project.

UTown Residences
During the program you will be staying in our University Town Residences (till July 26). Immerse yourself in the full experience of being in NUS, studying and living on the NUS Campus!

The UTown residences are easily accessible by internal shuttle buses so you can travel to your class venues conveniently.

All accomodations will provide air-conditioning.

All students will move out of UTown residences after 26 July. Students staying beyond 26 July under the Summer Workshop will move to off-campus housing (Year 1s, and some students from partner universities under the 4-week program).
